I am a craftsman dedicated to old-fashioned values of quality. I’ve worked with letterforms and typography for over 30 years, variously as a typesetter, calligrapher, in digital font production, and letterpress printer. Well-versed in the history and craft of letterforms, and with my technical skills, I bridge the worlds of the handmade and the digital.

Work in the paper/book arts, and in hot glass, are also ongoing.

Typography and imagery
Handset metal type is the norm for personal work, but for commercial work photopolymer, magnesium, or copper plates are usually used. Boxcar Press (http://www.boxcarpress.com/) is my preferred provider of adhesive-backed photopolymer plates and aluminum bases.
